Helen’s Hill Estate

Helen’s Hill is a boutique family owned winery situated in Coldstream, at the very heart of Victoria’s Yarra Valley. Founded in 1997 by the Nalder and McIntosh families, the estate covers approximately 150 acres of picturesque land. The site was specifically chosen for its rolling hills, diverse aspects, and unique microclimates that provide the ideal conditions for premium viticulture.

About Helen’s Hill Estate

The vineyards are positioned roughly 140 metres above sea level on long, narrow blocks. The natural contours of the land create subtle variations in soil and climate, allowing the team to carefully match specific grape varieties and clones to the most suitable sections of the estate.

The winemaking philosophy at Helen’s Hill is minimalist and deeply rooted in the concept of terroir. By using sustainable practices, selective picking, and small parcel fermentation, the winery ensures each bottle is a true reflection of its origin. They offer several distinct ranges including the Ingram Road label, which features fruit forward wines for immediate enjoyment, and the premium Helen’s Hill Estate label, which showcases wines with excellent ageing potential. Visitors can also enjoy limited releases such as the Single Clone Pinot Noir and the Winemaker’s Reserve.

The estate is a Halliday 5 Red Star winery, offering guests a well appointed cellar door, the Deck Bistro with stunning vineyard views, and a relaxed Lawn Bar for outdoor dining. It is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to experience consistent quality and a friendly atmosphere.
